The New Strand Film Festival is a festival offered in a historic theatre in beautiful Eastern Iowa. The West Liberty Public Library and the New Strand Theatre are the chief sponsors of the festival.

Schedule of Events
The 2008 Festival will be Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4.
Festival opening ceremonies start at 6:15 pm on Friday followed by a full-length feature film at 7 pm.
Saturday is all day in downtown West Liberty! Enjoy the local restaurants, street vendors, and other entertainment while attending the Festival. Films showing 10 am-8 pm. The Mayflies will be playing in Ron-Dee-Voo park the West Liberty Public Library at 7:30 pm.
Sunday is Family Afternoon, beginning at 11 am. We will be showing films appropriate for children and their families. You can never begin too early to appreciate the art of film making! Again enjoy the diversity of West Liberty all afternoon long!
